  3. To provide opportunities to help your child build a healthy self-concept and establish sharing, caring peer relationships.

Little Learners

3 Years old 2-Day

Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

We move a lot in this class, and we work on building very basic skills, such as sitting still, listening well, and increasing the children’s attention span over time. Young students learn through actions, music, movement, and repetition. Our Little Learners are introduced to letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. We sing songs to help with memorization, and to praise the Lord Jesus Christ. We teach the children simple prayers and Bible verses.

pre-Kindergarten

4 Years old 3-day

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

This class consists of gentle preparation for Kindergarten. This class focuses on building patience and kindness in the hearts of the children, while also learning and having fun. We speak to the children about the Lord and aid children in learning Scripture. The students in this class learn to identify uppercase and lowercase letters, identify numbers and count, and identify colors and shapes. We incorporate daily music and movement, as well as weekly crafts. Students are given a number or letter worksheet each week to aid in their development of writing skills and letter/number recognition. We talk about and practice showing kindness, sharing, being a good citizen, and following directions correctly and the first time they are given.

Pre-Kindergarten

4 years old 5-day

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM

This class places daily emphasis on reading and writing readiness in preparation for Kindergarten. Reading readiness includes teaching letter recognition and pairing letters with their correct letter sounds. As the children move forward with their phonics skills, they are introduced to simple three-letter words and will practice blending letter sounds to read the words. The children are also taught number recognition and counting. They are given daily letter and number worksheets, as well as practice in writing their first and last names, to strengthen their writing skills. The students in this class are taught to use patience, treat one another in Christian love, and to follow directions correctly the first time they are given. We read Bible stories to the children and aid them in memorizing Scripture. Music, movement, and poetry are incorporated into the learning experience of this fun class.
